Sakura in Ishii and at Seibu Koen, 32-29-2013

We went to a special sakura place in a neighboring town - Ishii.  It's the sight of an Agricultural College (that moved last year).  It's famous for the sakura tunnel.

There was also a camelia grove
which must have peaked about

On the way out we were led past this beautiful shrine.
I LOVE weeping cherries (shidare zakura).

It's raining sakura!

Then we went to Seibu Koen in Tokushima for a picnic under the trees.  Seibu Koen is up on the mountain.  I've been eyeing it for the last week but haven't walked up - it's very steep and a long walk - but much older people than me do it frequently.
We drove.

It's not all about the sakura - mostly, but not all....

There is no ladder.  It's probably good for
4 year olds and up.

Sort of an unusual 'sakura woods'.

Haruto made a friend.

This trellis supports a huge wisteria,
the sakura are in the background not
on top of the trellis.

Alisa chan and Haruto.

Lunch time!

The road (very narrow and very windy) and flanked by sakura!
