Lunch at the hotel on Bizan and sakura, 4-5-2013

Hiroko and I went up to the top of Bizan for a walk and lunch today.  A lot of the blossoms had been blown off since I was there last Sunday but the sky was blue instead of white so I couldn't resist a few more pictures.

Near Teramachi.

These are at the top of Bizan.

Tea at the top.

Lunch was delicious.  It seems that instead of 'early bird specials' some restaurants offer a certain number of meals at a lower price for the first 15 or 30 or however many people arrive first.  We arrived in time and had this delicious lunch for about $7 instead of $12 or 14...

I do love having little bits of different things!

Shrimp, okra, eggplant and sweet potato tempura.

Chicken square, fish (king mackeral) sausage, ham,
daikon in back, orange.

Tuna on a shiso leave and shredded daikon.

Salad with a delicious sauce.

Pickles.

Misoshiru.

Chawan mushi  - a steamed egg custard.

They still have their Girl's Day decorations out.

Awa Odori dancers.
