It was an on again, off again, on again kind of thing... the weather report kept changing! We had cancelled our plans to go to see the exhibit today because last night's weather report called for rain all day. But Naoko heard the report in the morning which said the rain would pass by afternoon so we decided to take a chance since it was a warm day, better for going in and out. Turned out to be in the low 60's!, although it didn't feel that warm since it was damp, and then windy. But still it was very nice. Won't last long though... it's February after all.
Last year's exhibit was the first thing that Naoko and I did together, this year we brought Haruto along. We both thought last year's exhibit was better - more flowers - this year there were strange, primary colored 'structures' around most of the arrangements which, although interesting in it's way I guess, really took away from the flowers and made the beautiful kimonos very hard to see. But we had a nice time anyway, with a stop a McDonalds on the way home for Haruto's favorite (and mine) -french fries.
